Story
With over 820,000 people living with dementia in the UK alone, unbelievably 1 in 3 of us will be directly affected by dementia at some stage in our lives.
Over the past few years my family and I have slowly witnessed the harrowing effects of dementia and the heart-breaking effects it has on the family as a whole.
With your donation, we can help to not only raise awareness about the effects of dementia but also support Dementia UK in developing and training Admiral Nurses to improve the lives of family carers and people living with dementia.
The decision to climb Kilimanjaro in aid of Dementia UK was planned some 13 months ago alongside a good set of friends and close family. Since then, I have pushed myself to train and prepare as much as possible for what lies ahead. With winter climbs amongst the highest peaks the UK has to offer, pushing through a half-marathon interspersed with shockingly (literally) sadistic obstacles in the form of Tough Mudder and climbing on cliff faces of mountains twice the height of The Shard in London – I pray that I am ready to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Bring it on!
Anyhow, thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Please, any donation however big or small is hugely appreciated and will go to a fantastic cause to help the lives of thousands of individuals. So dig deep and I will forever be in your debt.
Thank you again,
Craig
