Cristina's Big Jump

Big Pink Jump June · 9 June 2018 ·
As a part of my New Year’s resolution, I decided to do a monthly challenge to overcome fears.
For me this year is all about fighting fears, doing what I want to do even if it scares the hell out of me, living my life to the fullest without letting my brain stop me, and trying my hardest not to give up and follow my dreams.
So far I've got a tattoo, went skinny dipping and walked on fire. I'm going to travel solo, run a 5k, a 10k and a half marathon, and hopefully get to do a bungee jump, go wild swimming, bag a Munro and maybe abseil the Forth rail bridge.
And as my biggest challenge of all, I will be Skydiving in June in support of Breast Cancer Now!
I can't think of anything scarier than your doctor telling you that you do have breast cancer, that you are not in control anymore of what is happening to you and your body, and that in the best case scenario your life will change forever, if you survive it, that is.
Well, this is my way of taking control! I am readier than ever to go down that path, the one that you do what you can to enjoy yourself, to be in control of the things you can control and face whatever life throws at you with a new strength and passion.
Those women, some are friends, some are family, some are workmates, some are neighbors... are fighters, survivors, they are stronger than ever and they are now fearless! This goes for you.
