In memory of my nephew Elio🌻

On Wednesday 4th July 2018 we welcomed into the world our little ray of sunshine Elio.

Just two days later he was taken to Great Ormond Street hospital and was diagnosed with an incurable heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

Elio had his first minor operation to prepare him for his major procedure. The op went well however he then developed new complications.

The doctors and nurses at GOSH were incredible. They did everything they could to give him the best chance at life. We then received the heart breaking news that nothing more could be done as Elio's condition became too complex.

It was then the decision of his courageous parents to spend his last few days in Little Havens. Little havens provide care and support for families and children with life limiting conditions.

On Thursday 9th August, Elio peacefully passed away. Words can't describe the pain left in our hearts but the amount of love we have for him will continue to grow.

For this reason, I am running Chelmsford marathon on Sunday 21st October 2018 in memory of my beautiful nephew.
I am raising money for Little havens
so families can continue to use this amazing charity.
