24 Hour AMRAP · 9 December 2017

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

We are raising money for Cancer Research and The Alzheimer's Society by competing in a worldwide CrossFit competition called '24 Hour AMRAP' , which as the name suggests is a 24 hour event, in which our team of 6 will work to complete a minimum of 500 reps of a given movement every hour (think press ups, pull ups, deadlifts, squats, bench press, shoulder press, running, rowing etc). This will begin at midday on 9th Dec and end at midday on 10th Dec at CrossFit Derby - please come say hello and cheer us on - we'll need it!

Both Cancer Research and The Alzheimer's Scoiety are charities close to our hearts and these diseases have had an effect on our lives, or the life of someone we know so we'd like to give something back to these charities and help continue the amazing work they do.

Also a special thanks to Luke Townsend and Kate McCall for letting us use the gym for 24hours!
