I am delighted to tell you that I have committed to participate in a fundraising challenge for Volunteer Services Overseas (VSO), an international development charity that works in collaboration with Accenture.  This charity places volunteers on projects that enable skills to succeed in East Africa.  As a founding member of VSO’s Business Partnership, Accenture has placed hundreds of employees in VSO roles around the world since 1999. 

 

I am looking for your donations and sponsorship in order to complete this challenge to raise $5,000 (£3,137) for VSO.  Donations are in British Pounds: $1,000 = £616; $100 = £62; $50 = £31; $25 = £14.  These are illustrate conversion rates, please donate what you are comfortable with. 

 

In addition to fundraising, as part of this challenge, I will also travel to Nairobi, Kenya in February to visit one of our VSO Projects, and then join other Accenture employees from around the world, on a trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro.  My equipment and airfare for the visit to Nairobi and for the trek will be covered by me and not out of any funds raised.  I am very excited!  And am beginning to training for my hike up Kilimanjaro.
