Cyclone 24 · 16 October 2016

We are The Wallich. We’re doing something about homelessness. We give vulnerable people the accommodation and support to live safer, happier, more independent lives and become part of their communities. We believe everyone deserves the right to a home and to feel positive about their future.

Story

So last year some us undertook this amazing challenge and have been foolish enough to tackle it again, this year bringing along some new additions to the Dream Team. This year sees Zoe Westerman (The Wallich), Steve Sulley (Stills Branding), Lee Cameron (Lee Cameron Physio), Geraint Hampson-Jones (Brewin Dolphin), Sion Tudur (Capital Law) and Ieuan Lyr Jones (Welsh Government) take on the track.

Why? Why would we want to ride a track bike with no brakes, fixed gears, on a 42 degree bank, non stop in a relay format for 24 hours? This is why.....

When we finish, we will be able to return to our lovely warm homes, enjoy a bath, a hot meal and climb into our lovely cosy beds. Thousands of people across Wales don't have that option, they find themselves on the streets, in their cars, on a friends sofa, with only the support of homelessness charities to support them.

The Wallich works tirelessly to get people off the streets, keep people off the streets and create opportunities for people to make a new start. They support over 4000 people across Wales each year.

The Wallich believes that everyone deserves the right to a home, but more than that, everyone deserves the right to feel safe, secure, valued  and to feel positive about their future.

So in the famous words of Bob Geldof....."Give us your F*****g money"!

Thank You!
