In October 2008 the unimaginable happened to two friends of mine when they lost their 11 year old daughter Bryony Aveyard following a brain haemorrhage. The death of their beautiful daughter came completely out of the blue as she was extremely sporty, fit and hardly ever ill. Bryony's parents, Kath and Rob launched the charity For the Love of Bryony-Wellchild with the aim of raising £55000.00 to fund a Wellchild nurse for the Yorkshire area who would support sick children and their families.This target was reached in 2009 and then increased to £110000.00 to fund a second nurse.

Following completion of the Great North Run in 2009 in aid of wellchild and under the influence of too much alcohol at the post run curry i ,foolishly you may think , agreed to run the London Marathon much to the suprise of my fellow  runners.

I will be joined at the start by my twin Matthew who will be running for The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust -Peta Jane Gath Fund .

In these difficult times for many i really do appreciate any support whatever the amount !!!
