Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Wife thinks I am crazy. I said to her that as I am turning 40 this year I want to do something epic so I am climbing the highest free standing mountain on earth.  Lorna thinks I am in full on mid-life crisis mode...'Why on earth would you want to spend 10 days climbing up (and then back down) a big hill in Africa - It will be hot and full of mosquitoes, then cold and high, then freezing and you won't be able to breath so well'.  Well, its a challenge, a big adventure, a test of our physical endurance, and because we can...hopefully. It may not come as a great surprise to hear Lorna is not coming with me.  Instead I have roped in two great pals, Ste and Paul.

And whilst I'm at it, I thought I might try to raise some money for charity and give a little back to society.  There are so many really good causes out there all doing great work for those less fortunate than us. But I thought I would do it in aid of Cancer Research as most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer.  If we pull together to help raise money for such vital causes we can make a difference, a real difference, to peoples lives, both now and in the future.

I have set an ambitious target and if I get anywhere near it that will be amazing, but it is not entirely arbitrary - it happens to be the height of Mount Kilimanjaro (in metres) so lets see how close we get and aim for £1 per metre - I will try my very best to reach the summit (thats in my own hands) and I am counting on you to help me reach my fundraising goal.  Why donate you may ask?  Because you can...
