Story
Thank you for visiting the Just Giving page for DWF Walkability 2015.
A group from DWF and Motability are hiking through Loggerheads Country Park in Flintshire which includes ascending a 250 metre summit. The group will be accompanied by a fully qualified walk leader along with a support vehicle and trained first aiders from Alternative Adventure.
The group includes Cara Gallimore, Helen Nichol, Paul Berry, Dave Young, Sarah Mir, Tony McLoughlin, Robert Gray, Susan Ennion, Christina Millan, Glen Holmwood, Fiona Vickerstaff, Lucy Houston, Ciara Healy, Alexander Kesall, Andrew O'Connell & Richard Taylor.
Motability’s charitable grants fund helps some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and adults in our communities to become mobile. Each year they need to raise £2.5million to assist all of the people who request their help. The grants they provide are for driving lessons for young disabled people aged 16-29, adaptations to vehicles to enable their disabled customers to drive and they also offer help towards a larger or different vehicle if it means it is better suited to accommodate the disabled person’s needs. These people without Motability’s support would simply not be mobile.
We are grateful for any of your donations to this worthwhile cause
