Story

2019 is the year I have set myself the challenge of running my first marathon. Inspired by colleagues and friends who have said that London Marathon is one of the most iconic and well supported races, I really wanted to take part and hear the amazing crowds whilst running through my old stomping ground.

I also wanted to combine this race with another passion of mine, which is encouraging awareness and actions for a more sustainable future. This is why I am running in support of the Rainforest Foundation UK.

The Rainforest Foundation works with local communities across Africa and South America helping to map, monitor and plan land use, in ways that will discourage deforestation. They've been doing an amazing job, and I am looking forward to sharing with you more about their work and the impacts of deforestation in my publication Green TechStyle. So stay tuned.

I appreciate any support that you can provide me and the Rainforest Foundation in reaching my target of £2000. Please be kind and share this message.

I can't wait for April 28th. See you in London.

About the charity

The Rainforest Foundation UK aims to protect tropical rainforests by working with those who know the forest best – indigenous peoples and traditional forest dwellers. By supporting them, we're taking a major step forward in the battle to combat climate change.
