Story
Good morning all - I am really, really disappointed - I have had to defer my place for the 2010 Marathon due to shinsplints...I tried pretty much everything from accupuncture through to legs in ice and unfortunately they simply haven't gone and the only remedy is rest!!
So now I am resting and then the running will start again - the greast news is the cause remains the same and remains personal to me which means there will lots of other chances for sponsorship during the course of the next year - also, all you generous 'givers' have already helped raise a lot of money so I will be building on this next year - thank you :-)

So this one is personal!
I pledged to run the Virgin London Marathon this April on the back of a couple of pints - it seemed like a great idea at the time too - in fact it did right up until January when the snow set in, it became snowy, dark and icey - then the enthusiasm became a little tested!!
But the training continues and slowly but surely the fundraising is taking off. My aim is to raise 10k GBP - no idea why I picked this when clearly 1M GBP is far greater but big oak trees and all that.
So I am asking because any support and incentivising me would be greatly appreciated. There are lots of other ideas but you have to start somewhere right? It will really help me to know that I am running for a great cause, with great backing from equally great people.

PS - My last event was the Dartford 10M road race - also doubling as the Kent Championships - I ran into 508th place out of 920 a mere 33 minutes behind the winner!
PPS - 2nd February 2010 - Shin Splints - aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh - apparently the cure is rest!!
