Story
20th January - I ran 8 miles in the evening and it felt good. However I am not sure when i will run next as i turned my ankle playing football on Sat, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
17th January - I ran 7 miles on the treadmill on Monday and finally got on the road on Sunday and ran just over 9 miles - very sore but good to get the ball rolling - averaged 7:43mins per mile (thanks to the genius that is the Nike Plus+).
5th-9th January - Eager to road run but due to the snow it has proved quite tricky so getting used to running on the treadmills - so boring but getting used to it now - ran 18 miles in total this week. Hopefully will get out on the road this week.
4th December - a huge thank-you to all pupils at The Stanway School who kindly donated on non-uniform day. Your generosity raised £120. Over 20% there now, thank-you:-)
22nd November - I officially started my training today. 5 or so miles completed and it felt good. Sponsorships looking good, 10% already, a big thank-you to all of you who have donated:-)
I am running the London Marathon in just over 6 months time for St Helena Hospice in Colchester.
As you may know the charity support families during times of bereavement. They also meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people with life limiting illness. They are a fantastic charity who, with your support, can continue to provide this valuable service to those who need it in our local community.
It is November and I am about to start my training. I cannot wait to get started (although I will probably regret saying that in a few weeks time!). Although I have never run 26 miles before I ran the Mersea Half Marathon in June which is a good start!
I will update my page as soon as possible so you can see my progress. I have added a link for the St Helena Hospice Website so you can see what they do in a lot more detail.
