Friday 17th December Marek was involved in an accident and broke his foot. We meet a specialist on Tuesday 21st December and aside from the broken foot there's an incidental finding in Marek's tibia, a fibrous cortical defect, AKA a tumour. Three somewhat nervy weeks later on Monday 10th January we find out it's benign. Hooray! Nice for us, but every day in the UK 7 teenagers find out they have cancer. So in the time of our 3 week wait, 147 other teenagers had completely the opposite news. I cannot imagine the Christmas that those families had or the bravery it takes to embark on that journey.

Johno, Marek and I were already planning a charitable start to 2022, so here we are, it's now just Johno and I rowing 100KM / week, for 6 weeks, on an erg, to raise £2,022 and now we're doing it for the Teenage Cancer Trust so that they can bring more good to those teenagers and their families who need all the help that they can get.
