Hi all,
Our cousin, Lee, passed away suddenly in his sleep on December 12th 2010.
He suffered from epilepsy, but this was controlled by his medication. Neither Lee nor any of our family were aware that a seizure could kill, and as long as the condition was controlled, Lee would lead a normal life.
He did just that - through school, university, his career and his sporting achievements.
His death has had a profound effect on the hundreds of people he knew, and we are determined to ensure that he did not die in vain by raising as much money as possible for research into epilepsy to prevent more tragic loss of life.
With this in mind, River and I will be putting our fitness to the test by running a mini-marathon in aid of epilepsy action on the 15th of May in Manchester. Furthermore, it is our expectation that this task be completed in under 1 hour.
