SToRMS: Implementing Strategies To Reduce Male Suicide.

Story

To kick off our new relationship with adopted charity SToRMS, we will be fundraising all throughout the week for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

We will be holding various social media 'Get-Involved' campaigns and larger events such as our Tea and Talk on Monday, Pub Quiz on Wednesday, Mindfulness class on Friday and WISETALKERS course session on Saturday!

SToRMS is a charity local to Sheffield formed after the tragic suicide of student Dan Mcallister in 2015. Suicide is the biggest killer of men and women under 35 in the UK, and 78% of suicides are committed by men.

The charity aims to tackle this unfortunate reality and the disproportionate effect on men by fighting stigmas surrounding mental health, and encouraging open conversations between young people.

We are so excited to have formed a relationship with such a meaningful charity and can’t wait to see what the year will bring.

Especially given the current situation we think it is an important time to raise awareness for this cause and appreciate any donations you can afford, and we encourage everyone to get involved in as much as you can over the week!
