Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

I will be running the 2016 London Marathon to raise money for Marie Curie. This is a charity very close to my heart, mostly because of the care they took of my amazing Mam in her final days and more recently for the support they provided before my Nana passed away.

Cancer is a vile disease, sadly I don’t know anyone who has not been touched by it. I have seen the services Marie Curie provides and I have experience of Marie Curie nurses working hard to support both terminally ill people and also their families through the most difficult and terrifying times of their lives.

I haven't run a marathon before, the training include's more of the 5k and 10k running along with a number of half marathons so I really have my work cut out just to have any hope of finishing! I am running for Marie Curie in memory of my Mam, the bravest and most beautiful woman I will ever know, I miss her every single day. Also, my Nana, the only woman in the world with more cutting banter than me and finally, for all the other people who can't fight and win anymore.

Please, please show your support by digging deep and sponsoring me, if you can come and cheer me on that would also be awesome.

That's really all I needed to say, wish me luck! xx
