Event: Brighton Marathon 2017, on 9 April 2017
We use the power of football to help young people achieve their goals.

Story

Hi, thanks for making it this far. I have committed to running the Brighton Marathon on the 9th April to raise money for the best charity in the world, Football Beyond Border (FBB).

Despite their name, FBB is primarily an educational charity, with programmes in over 12 schools in South London and Cardiff. FBB takes the love of football and channels it to help over 300 young boys and girls improve their numeracy and literary skills, as well as building their skills and confidence in other areas like media and public speaking. The direct positive impact they have on young children's self belief is one of the many reasons why I am running the marathon and hopefully raising a bit of dosh to help them continue to grow and better kids lives.

Thanks again for anything you can contribute.

About the charity

We exist to change the lives of young people. There are thousands of young people who are passionate about football but are not fulfilling their potential at school. We provide long-term, intensive support, built around relationships and young people’s passions, in the classroom and beyond.
