***Update***
Below was the original plan before we had the small matter of a pandemic to deal with....
so new plan..... luckily things are starting to open up again and most organisers seem to be coming up with plans for events to work. I’ve decided to add in a couple of extra ones because, well I have nothing better to do!
- 14th March Virtual Bath Half - COMPLETED 2hrs 10
- April - spring half marathon (virtual runner UK) - COMPLETED 2hrs 7
- 2nd May Two tunnels half - COMPLETED 2hrs 12
- June - summer half marathon (virtual runner uk) - COMPLETED 2hrs 17 (terrible time, very hot!!)
- 18th July Frome Half -COMPLETED 2hrs 12
- 12th September Great North Run - COMPLETED 2hrs 6!
- 19th September Bristol Half - COMPLETED 2hrs 1
- 17th October Weston Super Half - COMPLETED 1hr 58!!!
Between July and September, I am going to be running four half marathons to help raise money for Mind.
Mind is a great charity tirelessly campaigning for better mental health - something I hold close to me. A subject ever prevalent in today’s hectic world, they (and I) believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.
In two years, I have run two half marathons so to run four in three months is a pretty huge challenge, but the more I raise, the bigger the difference I can make.
The events I will be running are:
- Frome Half 19th July
- Two tunnels, Bath 16th August
- THE ACTUAL GREAT NORTH RUN!!! 13th September
- Finishing it all off with the Bristol Half 27th September
