I have decided to raise funds for the team by taking part in the Plymouth Half Marathon and Hope 24. Hope 24 is a 24 hour ultra marathon on 14th/15th May in which the aim is to complete as many 5 mile laps of the course as possible. I am aiming to complete at least 50-75 miles and hopefully more. This is my first event of such magnitude so any support would be much appreciated.

I am a member of The Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Plymouth which is a registered charity only able to function with donations and fund raising events. The team offers life saving services, in support of the emergency services, across Devon and Cornwall and is on call 24/7. More recently the water team where deployed to York to provide assistance during the floods.
The team is made up of unpaid volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to provide this service whilst maintain fulltime jobs and family life.
With the ever increasing need and demands for the teams services any donations are gratefully received. These donations pay for vital life saving equipment and help maintain this kit along with the team vehicles.
