Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - my objective is to raise £1,500 for the British Heart Foundation through 4 major cycling events in the summer of 2013!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.....for what will be an exciting but challenging summer for me......

This summer I am going to be taking part in 4 major cycling challenges that will have me in the saddle of my bike for around 20 hours just for the 4 challenges!!!!

Challenge 1 - The BHF "Round the Islands Ride " 9th June - 30 miles

Challenge 2 - London to Brighton 16th June 2013 - 54 miles

Challenge 3 - Mega Meon Sportive 28th July 2013 - 100 miles

Challenge 4 - London100 Ride 4th August 2013 - 100 miles

A total of 284 miles in 4 seperate & hilly events that should see me cover over 15,000 ft in climbing as well as the miles & hours in the saddle!! With this and training I will complete around 2,000 miles cycling since Jan 1st to the end of the London100 - this equates to around 133 hours in the saddle!!!

I am doing this because I love cycling and so being able to do something I love and challenge myself is fantastic! Add to this the ability to ask my friends, family and colleagues to put some money towards my chosen charity makes the experience that much better!

The work the BHF does in this country is phenomenal and through better funding and investment in research we can help them to focus on reducing the biggest killer in the UK today - heart disease. So please dig deep, think of me on those early Saturday & Sunday morning training rides and help me achieve my fund raising target!

Thank you so much for your support and I know that the people at the BHF thank you for your donation.
