The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

Dan Curtis is a composer and singer, born in Caerphilly, and is married to his performing and writing partner, Laura Curtis.

As a composers, he is best known for co-writing and producing “A Miner’s Song”, which featured over 300 performers including many of Wales’ best known singers and actors. Dan received National coverage for taking a piano 300 feet underground into Big Pit in Blaenafon, to perform a concert in tribute to fallen miners.

 

They have made numerous television appearances including S4C's Wedi 3,the BBC One Show alongside Tony Bennett, Songs of Praise and X Ray. Radio appearances include BBC Radio 2,BBC Radio 3BBC LincolnshireBBC Radio NorthamptonBBC Radio Merseyside, and BBC Radio Wales. Performances have included London's Trafalgar Square (as part of West End Live 2011), the 2010 Welsh Proms at St David's Hall, the BAFTA Awards, and the Waldorf Astoria.
