Story
I'm upping the ante this year and attempting to run two half marathons in less than a month, one over the beautiful hills of Dartmoor and the other beneath the dreaming spires of Oxford.
I've just completed the Dartmoor run (see happy photos). Next week it's the Oxford half, where I'm aiming for a personal best.
For reasons many of you know about, the work SeeSaw does has particular resonance for our family; and my wife now works for them, supporting children and teenagers in the aftermath of a bereavement. SeeSaw is close to our family's heart; it's a great charity, performs a unique role, and is under pressure at this time of relentless cuts and austerity.
Here's what SeeSaw say about themselves:
SeeSaw provides a grief support service for children, young people and their families anywhere in Oxfordshire, whether the death is sudden or expected, due to illness or accident, or for some other reason. We believe that with appropriate and timely support, bereaved young people will be able to face the future with hope and fulfil their potential despite a devastating loss.As a small charity SeeSaw relies on the support of countless individuals, families, community groups, businesses and schools to keep going. Thank you for your support.
