Anyone that knows me or has ever met me will know that I'm built for comfort, not for speed, so for me the idea of running anywhere for any amount of time is a real effort.

I struggle to stick to anything that I put my mind to but this time I'm determined to go through to the end and run a 10k course with the hope and aim of raising some money for Prostate Cancer. 

1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in their lifetime which is a frightening thought. There are about 11,500 Prostate Cancer deaths every year which is 31 every day. 

It's this high rate that has made me want to try and make the smallest of differences if I possibly can. 

If any one of you can make a donation, that would be greatly appreciated. You can donate anything from £2.00 upwards and anything would help towards motivating me more and more. 

I'll keep you updated on my progress up until the big day which is Saturday 24th June where I'll of course post my time and maybe do a video of me collapsing into a heap on the floor.
