Story
In August I will be taking part in a trek over the Peruvian Andes to the ancient city of Machu Picchu to raise money and awareness for the charity DigDeep Africa.
Dig Deep works with Kenyan communities to provide safe and sustainable sources or water and energy, allowing people to dramatically improve their quality of life and progress out of poverty. The impact that access to clean water has reaches far beyond directly improving health, it increases food security and access to education, which together gives a community a real chance to work their way out of poverty.
With your help, the effect that this chairty has can reach even more people.
Thank you, Dan.
Over the last year I have undertaken a number of events to raise funds and awareness for Dig Deep. Although hindered by a broken ankle at the end of 2011 I am in the proccess of recovering and am still full of enthusiasm to take part in future events.
Completed Events
Naked Calendar
Exposed my self in the brisk winter mornings of Sheffield for the team's naked calendar. Together we raised over £1000 from the sale of the calendars.
Whitby to Whitehaven Coast to Coast Ride
I and a friend undertook a 170mile cycling challange over a period of 3 days between the coastal towns of Whitby and Whitehaven. The route took us through 3 of the country's beautiful and rather hilly national parks; The North Yorkshire Moors, The Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District. We completed this challenge in just over 23 hours of cycling spread over 3 days.
Things did not always go to plan, so please check out the route we took and see where we got lost along the way.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in this challenge.
24hour row-a-thon
I took part in a 24 hour rowing event at the University of Sheffield students union with the Dig Deep team. In total I rowed a massive 30,041 metres and we raised £210 for our hard days work.
