The Major Series · 15 March 2015

The Zikomo Trust provides grants and funding for educational and social projects in Malawi aimed at helping the most vulnerable in society, orphans and the elderly. We award educational scholarships for orphans and a daily meal for over 100 at Malama Feeding Centre in the Thyolo district.

Story

Hi everyone,

This summer I will be visiting Malawi, the 6th poorest country in the world, with The Grammar School at Leeds. During my visit to Malawi I will be volunteering in many different places including  Kasungu Hospital, Chilanga School for the Blind, Malama Feeding centre and a premature baby unit.

Therefore, in order to raise money, I am running the Major Series 10km in Bramham Park on 15th March 2015. This is not just a normal 10km. Instead I will be trudging through thick mud and negotiating over 20 obstacles including muddy bogs, river crossings, a spider's web, an ice crawl and log carrying.

Please sponsor me so that we are able to support and aide those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

It only costs 10 pounds to feed an orphan in Malawi for a year.

All the money will be going to The Zikomo Trust, which provides grants and funding towards educational and social projects aimed at the most vulnerable in society, the elderly and orphaned.

Zikomo (Thank you).
