Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year a member of my family had a suspected stroke. We were very lucky that this was spotted early and thankfully it was treatable. There are so many people who are affected by stroke's each year, spotting the signs early is fundamental to helping people recover, so I'd like to raise money to support this great charity in their efforts to educate and help us all.

Why the Great North Run?
I wanted to really challenge myself and knowing I'll be running alongside my dad will be amazing! I will be putting my body to the test and trying to do one of the things I hate most... running! If you'd like to sponsor me, anything you can give would be amazing! I hope to make my family and friends proud, so keep tuned for updates on how my training is going.
