At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

I really wanted to have some adventures so I looked up UK Treks on Google, and this one came up near the top of the list! It seemed perfect. I love Stonehenge and of course, Avebury! And the idea of being able to literally trek through the English countryside seems idyllic! In a perfect harmony, the trek is also for a very important cause, one that becomes closer to my heart with each passing year. Alzheimer's has had an impact on my family, both directly and indirectly. I didn't know what I could do at the time, but I feel this is a way I can help. I know that by walking this trek I won't 'cure' the disease, but maybe with even £500 raised, it could make a big difference to a family who just needs some help. And that's something that I'd like to try to do! :)

So thanks for reading and for your support, whether it's by donation, emotional or after the trek, physical (feel free to donate a voucher for a massage! ;) ) Because let's face it - 26 miles?! That'll be quite the adventure! :)
