Small Steps supports young children with physical disabilities from London and beyond. We teach parents of children with cerebral palsy and other forms of motor and sensory impairment, to help their child maximise their independence. Small Steps is 100% charity funded and our sessions are free.

Story

All,

For those who don't know after many years of trying I have secured a place via the ballot for the Virgin London Marathon.  I am both elated and petrified.  But its a perfectly well timed challenge.

My father (my hero) in an amputee, and a true ambassador for learning to walk again, so I wanted a charity that had a personal connection.  My mum heard about Small Steps on the radio.

So I am doing the London Marathon to raise awareness and funds for them. Small Steps helps children with special needs, aged from birth to 5 years, work on all areas of their development, using the principles of conductive education.

These children have cerebral palsy, other forms of motor impairment, syndromes or sensory impairment. They need a great deal of extra stimulation and assistance to help them reach even the most basic milestones. Including standing on their own two feet.

The work of Small Steps is truly inspirational, myself and Jess visited them. I would be extremely grateful for your support for this very worthy cause.

Small Steps receives no statutory funding and is solely dependent on charitable grants, fundraising and donations, so no matter what the amount, every little bit will make a big difference!

Thank you for reading.

Danielle & Jess.
