Story

My son. Marshall Harrison Rex rusby. Born on the 30th March 2013, at heartlands princess of wales neonatal unit. We spent 4 months in the care of the most amazing wonderful angels who work there. Marshall was 600 grams when he was born. He should not of made it 24hrs but thanks to the love care and support of some of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. They saved  our sons life on multiple occasions. He was a part of everyone there who cared and saved him. At the end of our story Marshall was a true miracle on the unit. He had grown to 4llb and was breathing on his own in a cot looking to be discharged the following week. Unfortunately he got an infection NEC in his stomach and was unable to be moved to a surgery. The infection took Marshall straight back to heaven within hours. I’m just so proud to have been able to call you my son. You were on this earth only a short time but you changed my life forever. I am truly blessed to have you as my son Marshall and you will never be forgotten.  And we will never forget what the angels at heartland neonatal unit did for you.Now it’s time I can give something back. Please only donate what you can afford. And I promise to give it my all in all my half and full marathons in the future. God bless and love  always to all xxx
