My name is Danny Christopher Parkinson. I’m running the Brighton marathon on Sunday 14th  April. I got into running about two years ago and I found my passion.  And I want to help and inspire others. I have suffered from mental health problems and drug abuse for over 20 years and have been suicidal at times. But in a very good place now. All so I’m a compulsive gambler. Up until I was about 20. Anything was ok then I  started  experience  sincere  paranoia.  From the  cause of smoking cannabis from the age of 11. And come away from my Friends and area I was brought up in Notting Hill.  Which absolutely killed me. That’s when  I knew I had to stop doing what I was doing. At 23  but then went on to smoke crack cocaine, and  powder  cocaine. Then really got into gambling.  But I said to my family about 13 years don’t you worry I will get out of the lifestyle That I was  living.  So from that day every time I put my head on the pillow I was dreaming how I could do it. and visualising the life that I’m living now. The thing about it is I knew deep down in my heart and soul.  I could do it. I could see the vision. But not in any means. Do I think I have won the Battle. I’m winning the fight 😉 I’m in a very good place the and I live a totally clean lifestyle. A friend of mine passed away 2 half years ago. Ever since then my life been quite crazy sometimes have to pinch myself. And his father came into my life. He has helped me so much. I believe my friend sent him to me💯 And words can’t describe how much he  means to me.  This is what I say I had the puzzle.  But he was the last piece of the puzzle.  So I’ll be donating this run to my friend.  I was confuse for so long. Everything makes sense now.   Now I know everything that’s happened to me as happen for a reason. To put me in this position now and to help others.  I’ve been given a gift.  I love people and I can get on with all kinds of people.  So that’s a little bit of my story people  lol So yes my new vision and dreams are now is to inspire people and stand up in front of people and become a motivational talker.   And to help others inspire others and tell them that it is possible to get away from the life that live for so long.
