I've been volunteering with Shropshire Cat Rescue for over 5 years and started working at the Shelter feeding the cats and cleaning the pens.  

I now take cats to Care Homes every Tuesday.  The residents, who may have had pets previously, love to have a cat on their lap and pet them.

I have recently been involved in the relaunch of our quarterly magazine The Cats Whiskers - full of interesting articles about cats and the various aspects of Shropshire Cat Rescue.  

I also attend various Shows and Events - Fundraising and helping to increase awareness of what Shropshire Cat Rescue is all about. 

Shropshire Cat Rescue is not just about cats: 

We have a Book Buddies scheme where children sit in our Moggies Retirement Village and read to the cats. 

Students in Animal Welfare come along to the shelter and learn about the care of cats and other animals. 

We have a variety of Volunteering opportunities throughout Shropshire Cat Rescue - shelter assistant - Office Admininstration - Shop Assistant - drivers for donation collection - fundraising - Health & Safety - Grant Applications and many more.
