Story
Thanks for visiting my latest fundraising page. I am running to raise money for Cancer Research.
I am running the inaugural Brighton Marathon on the 18th April (Official Time 3:17:14), followed by the Edinburgh Marathon on the 23rd May (Official Time 3:09:53). On the 12th September I will be running my 10th marathon, in the Wroclaw Marathon, Poland (Official Time 2:56:53 - my first sub 3 hr!).
22nd Sept: I decided to do another one this year, so have booked into the Luton Marathon on the 5th December.
Why do I run? Because I love it. Why raise money for Cancer Research? Because so many die before their time, and we need to support the research for finding cures.
Cancer Research UK funds research on all aspects of cancer, from the most basic nuts-and-bolts of cell biology to large studies of entire populations.
They fund the work of around 4,800 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK, and run specialised institutes dedicated to cancer research.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and give all you can for this great cause.
