For the last two years, I have been attending a business
networking event in Pendle and have got to know the team at Burnley FC in the Community very well. The work they do to support the Pendle community includes Educational projects, sports initiatives, an incredible food bank, and much more…

The stories I hear about the work they do is inspiring, and
genuinely changes and saves people’s lives, so when I was asked if I would like to take part in an event to raise much-needed funds for them, the answer was an instant YES!!!!

However, and this a big however, what they are asking me to
do, isn’t exactly…well, let’s say, it’s not within my comfort zone.

Here’s how the conversation went…

Ben: Do you fancy supporting us with a fundraiser?

Darren: Sure, what does it involve…

Ben: Just a zipwire…you know like those ones in kids
playgrounds….

Darren: Haha…sure, like the ones in the clip and climb centres….

Ben: Sure…let’s go with that…

So, it’s not just a zip wire…

It’s the longest, fastest zip wire in Europe…

1555 meters long (1 mile long)…

Reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour…

They call it an Adrenalin Rush…

I call it Sh***ing Myself…

So here’s what I need from you…

An excuse not to back out…
