At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

The ‘Three Peaks Challenge’

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our Grandad Veale loved walking, the moors, and the outdoors. We wanted to take on a challenge that we could complete in memory of him. We are aiming to summit the peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon; the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales respectively. To add an extra bit of challenge, we are hoping to do this within 24 hours on August 4th-5th 2019.

He walked the peaks and the lake district himself so we know that this is definitely a challenge he would approve of!

Alzheimer’s Society

None of the money we raise will go towards paying for our trip. Instead, your donations will be given to fund the work of the Alzheimer’s Society to help them to continue to provide the support that they gave to us as a family affected by Dementia. They are aiming to transform the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day they find a cure, they are aiming to create a society where those affected are supported and accepted, and are able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
