As most of you know I lost my Dad on father's Day 2017, due to a freak accident where he had fallen over and banged his head. This caused a brain hemmorage and unfortunately he sadly passed with his loved ones around him at 4:12am on Sunday the 18th of June.

Since then if I am being totally honest I have struggled but mostly kept this to myself, as I too have a son and need to be strong for him.

Therefore I have been drinking far to much to get me through. 

So this is why I am taking it upon myself to have a dry January in aid of my dad but also to show myself I can cope without a beer with the support of Jemma my wife, we will do this together.

Even Fred has said he would give up chocolate!

Most of my close friends will know this won't be easy for me!

The Donor family network really helped explain the donation process and offered a really great support system which was really helpful. 

I also wanted to give something back and try raise awareness of organ donation.
