On Friday 17th & Saturday 18th July I'm going to be walking 28 miles from Llanfihangel-y-Pennant to Bala, following the walk that 15 year old Mary Jones did (in bare feet!) in 1800 in order to purchase a Bible from Thomas Charles.  

Mary had saved up for 6 years because she was so desperate for a Bible of her own, and her determination so impacted Thomas Charles that this led to him setting up the Bible Society which today works to make the Bible accessible to people all over the world.
