Frank and I have been involved with the various Junior sports teams in Sevenoaks for nearly 10 years as Coaches, managers, administrators and parents. Many of you will have stood on a touchline or boundary rope with one or both of us watching our little ones cut their sporting teeth in the pouring rain or blazing sunshine. Those years have seen sporting highs and lows which we have all been through together. Cup finals and leagues won and lost with the last kick of the season, we've had it all!!

Janice was the mum of one of our Sevenoaks Town Junior Football club Goalies. Both of us have had the pleasure of managing teams where Janice was an active, supportive and enthusiastic parent for many years. Her recent passing after a long battle with Cancer has really brought home how precious these years are and the gap that a loss of a parent must leave in a child's life.

So, after years of putting your children through their paces in freezing cold and wet conditions we've decided to put ourselves to the test by running an 18km assault course!

The race will be on 28th September at the Hop Farm.

The aim will be to raise some money for Hospice in the Weald, who helped Janice and her family through some very tough times right to the end. They rely solely on fund raising to allow them to care for people with terminal illness.
