In December 2019, my amazing Sister in Law, Karen was diagnosed with Cancer. Cancer is horrible at any age, but at 39, with a 2 year old son to bring up, it makes life that bit more difficult. Karen has a long road of treatment ahead, but she is showing courage and positivity beyond belief. We all know she can beat it!

Her treatment is going to be tough. After initial surgery, she has four months of fortnightly chemotherapy starting on 15th January to get through, with all the effects of the treatment to cope with as well.

Karen and her family live down in Berkshire, so our family cant always be there to support them. So i have chosen to show my support and try to raise some cash towards beating cancer once and for all. It affects 1 in 2 people nowadays. Wow!

Next Wednesday morning, when Karen starts her treatment, I'll be having my head shaved at Fire headquarters and keeping it that way for the duration of her treatment. For those of you that know me, my hair is kind of a big deal to me. In reality, losing it is nothing compared to having cancer treatment, i know.

If you can support my fundraising even with the smallest amount it will help and will show some much needed support to Karen as well!

Feel free to take the piss out of the resulting hairstyle....
