Dave Allen was a wonderful friend and colleague to all who knew him. His unstinting support for Ark’s work in schools and beyond to provide the best possible education opportunities for children and young people made a huge difference. He was unique and we will all miss him terribly.

We are determined to create a lasting legacy to mark Dave’s  extraordinary contribution and influence - and one that reflects his deep love of listening to and playing music, particularly the Blues!

We therefore plan to set up a music scholarship in Dave’s honour. The Allen Music Scholarship will give aspiring musicians from Ark schools the financial assistance they need for a musical instrument and one-on-one tuition – and we hope to provide five scholarships a year for the next three years.
