We help people with Osteogenesis Imperfecta to be independent and feel less isolated

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to give myself the challenge for a charity close to my family's heart, Brittle Bone Society. I have decided I will climb Ben Nevis for my wife and my son.

My wife, Ashley, was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, type 1. We have been together for over 10 years and I have never seen the extent of the worst of OI. She is in pain daily but still smiles through it. We have a son together, Odin, he is a happy, contented little man. At the birth of Odin, the midwives took blood from his umbilical cord to send up to genetics. Five weeks later we were told like his Mum, Odin had OI Type 1 as well as Osteochondritis Dessicans.

Odin and Ashley are my absolute universe. I would swim the deepest oceans, or climb the tallest mountains for them. On the 15th September, climb is exactly what I'm going to do. I have been really pushing to better myself this year, and this will be something off my bucket list to a better me.

I aim to raise £1000 for Brittle Bone Society over the course of the next month. I am pushing myself to the limits for the most important people in my life and will always strive to do so. Please give as little as you like. There is no pressure here. Just know that my family and I will be forever grateful.

Odin and Ashley this is for you.
