Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2018 I was discharged from the RN due to PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and a back problem caused by my experiences whilst serving my country. I was in a very dark place and attempted to take my own life. Due to self loathing and embarrassment I hid it from many with only the support of my closest friends and family who knew what I was going through.

Once discharged things got worse but I was put in contact with WWTW who funded Therapy and EMDR for me and with their help I am now on the long road to being in a better place. The start for me was getting over the shame and self loathing, admitting to people that I have a problem but also accepting that I am not alone.

On the 25th May, I along with serving members of the Royal Navy are walking the 160 miles from HMS Raleigh in Torpoint to HMS Collingwood in Fareham and sleeping rough each night to raise awareness for the Mental health and Homelessness problems facing many of our serving Armed Forces and Veterans and raise vital funds for WWTW.

Walking With The Wounded supports a pathway for vulnerable veterans to re-integrate back into society and sustain their Independence. Offering assistance through our programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service.

So what am I asking, I am asking all those who know me, have served with me or have been apart of my life to spare a price of a pint for me and donate to my just giving page to help others in need.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. X
