Story

Thanks to all those people who gave a total of £715 for my ride last year which turned out to be a long day. I traveled from Normanton on Soar, the most southerly church in the county, to the most northerly, arriving as the clock struck 6.00.

This year I hope to visit the most easterly and the furthest west on the 'open' list accompanied by my granddaughter to help with bailing out if it rains.  Once again I have decided to exchange the cycle for the 1990 Lotus Elan 100M and try to visit as many churches as possible, between 10 and 6.00pm on Saturday, 11th September, including Newark Methodist and Littleborough, St Nicholas; a new entry.

I hope you will support me generously.. or otherwise.

The NHCT Sponsored Ride and Stride takes place every year on the second Saturday in September and involves churches in chapels in the county who open doors for visitors who travel from place to place by cycling. It raises money which are used to help fund essential repairs to buildings of worship.
