Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and in the time it has taken you to arrive at this link, I hope you will have stopped laughing at the thought of my having to swim a mile!

It has been a little while since I asked anyone for sponsorship for a physical challenge (I was 12 I think...), but there are some 1700 of us at BG, up and down the country, swimming one event or another and it has been an experience getting a few lengths of the pool in and then squeezing myself into a wetsuit and venturing out on a lake.....

So please dig deep and donate now, and I promise I wont tap you up for sponsorship again unless its something truly stupendous that most of you would consider a safe bet I'd never even consider....though to be fair a mile open water swim would not exactly have been in my mind a few months ago......!
