As everyone knows, the grieving never ends – sometimes it
feels like its “getting better”, often it feels worse. However, one thing stays the same. And that is the burning desire to do something special in  Dad’s memory – something he would be proud of, or maybe just something he would laughingly call “ludicrous”. 

My resolve is to act, in Dad’s memory. That’s why I have volunteered to help Rennie Grove Hospice Care in anyway I can. Because that is exactly what they did for Dad – helped him in any way they could. And so on April 28^th I will run the London Marathon, raising money for Rennie Grove, but ultimately  “doing it for Dad”. 

It’s a big thing for me (this will be my first and last marathon) but I’m hoping that friends, family, colleagues and like-minded charitable individuals will help me along the way. By becoming part of #TEAMDAVE you too will be doing it for my Dad, and helping Rennie Grove Hospice Care to ensure that many more men, women and children (and their families) will be helped at a time when they need it most.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care has a vision that every adult and child with life-limiting illness can choose how they want to be cared for knowing they will receive exceptional specialist care. They make a massive
positive difference to those they care for and, importantly, their families.
The difference they make is REAL. Some 87% of their funding is reliant on our donations. YOUR MONEY actually changes lives for the better. 

For me this is personal. For you it might not be. Not now and hopefully not in the future. However, if you could see the amazing life-changing work that these people do then I have no doubt you would want to support. And if you have bothered to read this far then I believe you probably have enough goodness in your soul to want to contribute something special to this cause
