Cycle For Proffitt 2019 / Ride London 100 2019 · 10 May 2019

Our VISION is a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury. Our PURPOSE is to be in partnership with the SCI community to create quality and equality. Our VALUES Always be user-led in our decision making and development. Challenge perceptions and behaviours towards SCI.

Story

I'm undertaking two organised bike rides in 2019 to continue to raise money for those affected by spinal injuries, such as a former work colleague, Geoff Proffitt.

In November 2012, Geoff was badly injured in a mountain bike accident causing paralysis from the neck down which continues to this day. During his rehabilitation, SIA were there to support Geoff and his family.

This year, I will be spending 3 days cycling round the Yorkshire Wolds and North Yorkshire Moors with the Cycling for Proffitt Group, then in August I will be taking part in the Ride London 100, a one day 100 mile road cycling event that takes in the same roads as the 2012 Olympic Road Race.

Please please please take the time to donate to this worthwhile charity who help people like Geoff and their families to adjust and deal with a life changing Injury. All money raised will go the SIA and whatever is raised, my company, WSP will match it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for taking the time to read this page and hopefully you will take the time to donate and make the suffering of these two rides worthwhile knowing I am helping people less fortunate than me.

Many thanks
