We exist solely to support The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, looking after veterans, serving soldiers and families within our Airborne community. We're there for our nation’s paratroopers through the good and the bad, from the moment they join our family to the sounding of the last post.

Story

Well the big day arrived and it was absolutely scorching hot. The endurance race certainly lived up to its name, the hills were very challenging and we were encouraged all along by helpful recruits. Water stations were indeed a necessity, and keeping hydrated was so important. After the last hill it was a mile downhill towards the finish, which we all completed within the 3 hour cut off time. I believe if the weather was cooler the times would of been at least 15mins quicker. All in all an excellent result by all, a few blisters but nothing to worry about, I personally hope to be back next year to beat the time. A huge thank you to all whom kindly sponsored me, the money will go to the Parachute Regimental Charity. See you next year

I am going to complete this 10 mile challenge carrying a 35lb bergan and raise money for the Parachute Regiment Charity, with the assistance of 3 friends. Myself being immensley proud of having served with the Regiment for over 14 years and having the best time of my life. The pure dedication of the modern soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan is inspirational and its wonderful to see the airborne ethos continued.

I wish to raise some funds for those that have been injured or require some assistance from the regimental charity.

My pain in completing this is nothing compared to the sacrifice that these soldiers do.

Any amount is most welcome, 3 extremely good friends, well they are before the event! are willing to have a go and complete the challenge, all credit to them.

From a personal point of view, it will be great to put the bergan back on and see if I can get round in a decent time, obviously a lot older and heavier but the experience will outweigh any pain. Hopefully I will meet a few old friends and possibly complete a few challenges over the next few years for such a worthwhile cause.
