The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

who's going to make the total £1000 for a great cause , it could be you

One week today I will be nearly finished and ready to become an Ironman. Keep me going in my hours of need by sponsoring me, the Christie is a great cause so dig deep

Help keep me motivated dig deep it's all for a good cause. let's go for £1000

Every donation made, helps me train that bit harder. Dig deep it'll be all over in 15 weeks

On the 20th July 2014 I will be lined up ready to enter the tepid waters of Pennington Flash taking on the 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of cycling and just to top it off a marathon, totaling a combined distance of 140.6 miles.
In doing the event I am also hoping to raise money for ‘The Christie’ cancer hospital in Manchester and inspire other individuals to take on challenges of their own, no matter how big or small everyone has their own Everest.
‘The Christie’ hospital plays a huge role in many people’s lives, their outstanding contribution to cancer research, their humility and compassion in caring for patients, the tremendous treatment that they provide for thousands of men, women and children, all of which requires the generosity of ordinary everyday people to help them succeed in situations that many would fail in. ‘The Christie’ in some way or another will have played a part in most people’s lives whether that be as a patient, a survivor, a family member or a friend, it is a an organisation that people turn to when faced with one of life’s most tragic diseases. My own connection with the hospital is through my wife who sadly lost her mother to breast cancer when she was a girl. ‘The Christie’ hospital then went on to become a hospital that saved her best friends life whom as a young women was diagnosed with cancer. To this day ‘The Christie’ saves thousands of lives and all they require is a little help from us.
