I'm riding a bike 107 miles, from Charleston, SC to Savannah, GA, to benefit the Akron Area YMCA. As with all Ys around the country, they were forced to close their doors to members during the COVID 19 health crisis. Even in the face of lost membership revenue, they continued to provide the critical services that the Akron area has come to rely on them since their founding 150 years ago!!! From emergency child care for front line workers, to food for families impacted by job-loss, the Akron Area YMCA was there. I'm hoping you can join me in this kick-off of a FUNDRAISING TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FUND, aimed at helping them attain the tools that will keep them solvent during times like these. They've always been there for the kids and families of Akron, never turning anyone away. Now it's time for us to be there for them!!!
