Swiss Alpine Marathon (K36) - David Norris

Hi folks!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my JustGiving page.
This summer I shall be participating in the Swiss Alpine Marathon (Race K36), which is held in the Graubünden region of Switzerland.
36.2km with +1720m / -1550m of ascension/ descension across alpine terrain, the K36 is described as the gemstone and granite of mountain runs in the Alps. The route offers runners an amazing natural backdrop, but the real challenge lies in conquering the climbs and descents, the altitude differences and the rough trail.
This year, I have chosen to support Unite Against Cancer, established in 2012, in memory of Christopher Smith. The organisation aims to fund research for the development of new cancer treatments, as well as educate and inform people on cancer prevention. Christopher was a very close friend of mine, so my connection to this charity is very personal. It is a hugely worthwhile cause , so any support and donations in order to help me cross that Alpine finish line would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!
David
