We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

As many of you know in 2008 I was diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma (bone tumour) in my right leg. This meant I had to drop out of my first year of University and have a course of chemotherapy together with an amputation.

My treatment started on the 7th of January and for it I was lucky enough to be on the Teenage Cancer Trust ward at the University College Hospital London. Through their sponsorship of the ward and the things they did to make it a comfortable place to be the whole experience was not all that unpleasant.

I have always wanted to run the marathon and so this is my chance to give something back to the charity that helped me so much during my time in hospital.
